Mira Kos Skubic joined The Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector  and Plant Protection in 2013 responsible for consumer protection on food which covers also traceability, food and nutrition and health claims and food frauds. Since then she has been working in different areas of food safety and food quality as a food chemical analyst and regulatory officer  including 1998-2011 as a Head of food safety and food quality Department in Ministry for Agriculture, forestry and food. Mira Kos Skubic holds M.SC. in analytical chemistry science and  PhD in food science related to consumers understanding of food.
