Ghislain Marechal is an Agronomist with a Master degree in Economy and Sociology. He joined Commission services in 2005 and is currently dealing with issues related to agri-food fraud (Agri-food fraud analysis, setting up of EU policies governing the fight against fraud, co-chairing of the EU Food Fraud Network, interaction with the EU Member States and third countries' competent authorities, relation with Olaf, Europol, Interpol, UN Food Agriculture Organisation, coordination of investigations and setting up of control program trainings in EU and non-EU countries).
