Mr. Janusz Wojciechowski has been the European Commissioner for Agriculture since 2019. Former judge at the High Court of Justice, he has occupied several roles related to legislative affairs and audit, as member of the European Court of Auditors (2016-2019), president of the Polish Supreme Audit Office (NIK, 1995-2001) or under-Secretary of State in the Cabinet Office with responsibility for Legislative Affairs (1994-1995). Between 2014 and 2016 he was a member of the European Parliament, and he was  formerly a deputy Speaker of the Polish Parliament (Sejm, 2001-2004) and member of the Polish Parliament (Sejm, 1993-1995).
